Town Clerk, Shirley E. Schult, announces that nomination papers for the 2023 Town Election are available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Open seats for this election include TWO seats for Selectboard,ONE seat for Town Clerk, TWO seats for School Committee Members, THREE seats for Planning Board Member,(ONE unexpired two year) , all others for THREE year terms, and ONE seat for the Regional Vocational School District, for THREE year term. Candidates for these positions must obtain a minimum of fifty (50) valid signatures of Voters town–wide.
There are also openings for Town Meeting Members in each of the twelve precincts. Town Meeting Members must file nomination papers with a minimum of ten (10) valid signatures of voters from their respective precinct ONLY.
Deadline for filing nomination papers is Monday February 13, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS! The annual town election is scheduled for Saturday, April 01 2023
Nomination papers are available during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Candidates unable to pick up nomination papers in person may give signed written authorization for someone to pick up their papers. This authorization must state the office being sought and the length of term.
