At 115pm today we completed the replacement of our CoMag RAS valve. The Town of Billerica WRRF NPDES permit # is MA0101711 and we discharge into the Concord River. We estimate approx. 500,000 gallon did not pass thru our tertiary system, but it did pass thru our biological treatment and chlorination. All flow still met all NPDES permit guidelines.
Under 314 CMR 16.04 () (b-e) I must make the following statements,
Precautionary measures to be taken by the public, including..avoid contact with these water bodies for 48 hours after the discharge or overflow ceases due to increased health risks from bacteria and other pollutants.
The discharge of overflow consists, or likely consists of untreated or partially treated sewerage and waste.
