BILLERICA ELECTION INFORMATION
Town Clerk Shirley E. Schult reminds all Billerica Registered Voters that nomination papers for the 2023 Town Election are available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Open seats for this election include Two members of the Select Board , One Town Clerk, Two School Committee Members; Two Planning Board Members, One Regional Vocational School District Committee Member, all for terms of three years; and one Planning Board Member for an un-expired two-year term. Candidates for these positions must obtain a minimum of fifty (50) valid signatures of Voters town-wide.
There are also openings for Town Meeting Members in each of the twelve precincts. Town Meeting Members must file nomination papers with a minimum of ten (10) valid signatures of voters from their respective precinct ONLY.
Deadline for filing nomination papers is Monday, February 13, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Nomination papers are available during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Candidates unable to pick up nomination papers in person may give signed written authorization for someone to pick up their papers. This authorization must state the office being sought and the length of term.
Any Billerica Resident eighteen years of age or older may register to vote. The last day to register to vote for the Town Election is Wednesday, March 22th at 5:00 P.M. For more information, call (978) 671-0924.
The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Polls will be open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The polling locations are as follows:
Precinct 1 & 7 Parker School, River Street
Precinct 2 & 8 Hajjar School, Rogers Street
Precinct 3 & 9 Ditson School, Cook Street
Precinct 4 & 12 Marshall Middle School, Floyd Street
Precinct 5 & 10 Kennedy School, Kimbrough Road
Precinct 6 & 11 Dutile School, Biagiotti Way
