[ARCHIVED] Middlesex Turnpike Phase 3 - Updated 1/31/2023

Weather permitting, the Contractor will be patching potholes at the Manning Road intersection by the end of next week.  The Contractor plans on having one crew on the Project during February through mid-March.  The crew will be concentrating on the Shawsheen River bridge area work. 


The Contractor will be working Saturday, August 20 at the Lexington Road/Middlesex Turnpike intersection installing drainage from 7am to 3pm.


Paving is scheduled for Friday, July 22 between Manning Road and the Mobile Station. 

Contractor will be moving to the Lexington Road/Middlesex Turnpike intersection installing drainage then will continue with milling, grading, and paving.  They anticipate about 5 weeks worth of work at this location.


Please be advised that work is ongoing on the Middlesex Turnpike Phase 3 Project:

On July 7, 2022, the Contractor is scheduled to begin reclaiming and grading the roadway between Manning Road and the Mobile Station.  Traffic in both directions will be allowed to pass through the project area during this work. Travel lanes will be shifted and traffic officers will be present to assist guiding vehicles through the work area.

Following reclamation of the roadway, grading will continue.  Paving in this area is tentatively scheduled to begin on July 19, 2022.

This work is part of a $35 million transportation improvement project in Bedford and Billerica and is currently scheduled to be completed in 2023.
