The Billerica Recreation Department has partnered with the Yankee Bass Masters of New England and the Massachusetts Wildlife Angler Education Program to offer two fishing events at Micozzi Beach on Middlesex Turnpike this summer.  These are open to all, regardless of residency.

YANKEE BASS MASTERS YOUTH FISHING DERBY

Sponsored by the Yankee Bass Masters Of New England, this fishing derby is a special treat for kids. Stay for a free lunch for youth participant. Bring your fishing rod and reel. The Bass Masters will have free bait or you can bring your own. As this event will be held on the Massachusetts’ "Free Fishing" weekend, no licenses will be required.

DAN POWERS FAMILY FISHING

Stop by Micozzi Beach after a busy day of camp and work for an evening of family fishing fun.  We are working with the Massachusetts Wildlife Angler Education Program to encourage families to fish together.  Mom, Dads, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles are all welcome to join the fun. No license required this night.

Don't know how to fish? This is your chance to learn from master anglers! Don't have equipment?  Don't worry!  The Wildlife volunteers bring rods and we provide worms. Canoes and kayaks will also be available for free use during this event!
