The week of April 8, Lexington Road and Manning Road within the project limits will be reclaimed in anticipation of the paving for the Phase 1 Widening. Vehicles will be required to temporarily drive on a gravel surface.
The week of April 15, the Contractor is planning NIGHT WORK to pave for the Phase I Widening between 7PM and 5AM. Work will occur within the project limits on Lexington Road, Manning Road, and on Middlesex Turnpike itself between Lexington Road and Manning Road. Residents will be able to access their properties, but other traffic will have limited access. Detours and lane shifts will be in place.
Current activity in Billerica includes: (March 8 Update)
- Water hydrant relocations.
Installation of Mechanically Stabilized Slope between Lexington Road and Manning Road.
Excavate and grade Stormwater Basin K north of Manning Road.
Installation of drainage north of Manning Road.
