The Eastern basin of Nutting Lake will be chemically treated with a USEPA/MA registered algaecide on Thursday, August 13th to control nuisance algae. The entire eastern basin will be closed to all water uses (including swimming, fishing and boating) on the day of treatment only. These water uses may resume on the day following each treatment. The work is being performed for the Town of Billerica, pursuant to a permit (license) issued by MassDEP, Office of Watershed Management and a Negative Determination issued by the Billerica Conservation Commission.
