[ARCHIVED] Boston Road Improvements

Over this weekend, at the intersection of Boston Road and Cummings Street, we do anticipate the need to keep a section of the northbound left turn lane closed. This is due to the installation of a National Grid electric manhole that will need to be plated. To safely secure the area, we will need to leave equipment at this location.

For the week of May 9, the Contractor will be continuing with drainage and utility conduit/structures installation. Utility conduit work will need to extend across the Cummings Street/O'Connors intersection. You should plan additional time for delays, and some traffic will need to be detoured. Utility pole relocation work in the section from Charnstaffe Lane to Tower Farm Road will begin.

One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction through the duration of construction. You should expect delays, and seek alternate routes if possible. On-roadway work will run daily between 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday.

You can find an overview of the project on the project page.
