The Town has been slowly replacing its aged and troublesome phone system with a state-of-the-art Voice Over IP (VoIP) system. This rollout is about 80% completed as of September 2015 and will be completed in the coming months.
The Public Safety Division was the first to receive the rollout and was a huge success. Town Hall was largely cut over in the summer of 2015, and at present, the outlying departments are being installed and configured in the Fall of 2015.
Once completed, this system promises to deliver cost savings and substantially improve communication between Town employees. Most importantly, it will also allow us to more accurately deliver you to the appropriate person(s) whenever you need to reach someone here.
