All building sanitary sewer lines shall discharge to the proposed sewer service connection. All septic systems shall be abandoned following connection to the municipal sanitary sewer system. Any further use of the septic system is prohibited (i.e. no separate septic systems serving kitchens and laundries) pursuant to the State Environmental Code, Title 5. Connection of a source of stormwater to the sanitary sewer is considered an illicit connection and is not allowed (types of illicit connections include sump pumps, roof drains, or foundation drains).
Effective immediately, we will no longer give out stub locations at the Wastewater Plant or at the Engineering Office unless you are obtaining a sewer permit for a new connection or are doing repair work on an existing connection. For estimating purposes, this document can be used for your sewer depth and orientation of the stub for every address currently released for Sewer Contract 34B.
