We're always trying to improve the way we do business, and this doesn't just mean doing things faster and easier. It includes doing them cheaper, too! We're always seeking more efficient ways of doing the things we do, and I wanted to briefly share with you a new venture we're taking on.
We are bound (legally and/or otherwise) to create a great deal of paper documents throughout the year for various reasons, and historically we have sent many of these jobs out to a contractor for printing.
In an effort to streamline this process and lower the production cost, we recently leased new imaging technology to allow us to bring many of these jobs in-house. There's really no way to tell exactly how much money the Town will save, due to a variety of factors, but conservative estimates suggest we'll save roughly $5,000 - $10,000 per year to begin with, and it will only grow from there.
The best part is that we take these savings and reinvest them into other technologies that will further enhance the way we work for you.
