Kameha Drive

Kameha Drive is a minor local road in the River Pines off Bridle Road adjacent to the Concord River. The existing roadway was gravel, which requires continual maintenance and causes sedimentation to the Concord River, especially during larger storm events. We regraded the roadway to provide a uniform width and utilized the existing gravel as the subbase to the new paved roadway.

We constructed an infiltration swale along one side of the roadway and also a sediment forebay at an existing stormwater outfall, designed to control stormwater runoff and prevent sediments from flowing directly into the Concord River.
