Bicknell Road

Bicknell Road is an urban collector roadway in South Billerica; it is a major cut-through road from Cook Street in Billerica and Route 62 in Burlington. The roadway had multiple problems, such as puddling, inconsistent roadway width, flooding, and vegetation overgrowth into the roadway.

We installed a new subdrain system between Munroe Way and Allard Way interconnecting a drainage structure at Allard Way with a drainage system on Munroe Way to improve the collection of stormwater runoff during heavy storms.

Sections of Bicknell Road and Allard Way were reclaimed to fix road irregularities on the profile, helping the stormwater drainage flow to existing catch basins. The road was widened at the town line to provide for a consistent road width.
