Election Information & Results
The Annual Town Election to be held on April 2nd is fast approaching. Open seats for this election are: 2 Select Board Members, 2 School Committee Members, 3 Planning Board Members, all for three years; 1 School Committee Member for an unexpired one-year term and 1 Housing Authority Member for a 5-year term. Candidates for these positions need to file nomination papers signed by at least 50 registered voters town-wide.
There are openings for Town Meeting Members in each of the twelve precincts. Interested persons must file nomination papers with at least 10 valid signatures of voters in their respective precinct.
Completed paperwork must be filed in the Town Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14th to get one’s name on the ballot. The Town Clerk's office will offer special evening hours for people to pick up their papers on Thursday, 1/27, and will be open until 7pm that night.

Election Updates - 1/4/2022
As of December 2021, the Town has new precinct maps that can be found here. All Town Meeting members will need to run run for reelection in 2022 because of the change in precincts. Billerica is also now in two congressional districts - the 3rd and 6th.
Nomination papers for the 2022 Town Election are now available at the Town Clerk’s Office. Open seats for this election include two members of the Select Board, Two School Committee Members, and Three Planning Board Members, all for terms of three years; and one member of the Housing Authority for a five-year term. Candidates for these positions must obtain a minimum of fifty (50) valid signatures of Voters town-wide.
There are also openings for Town Meeting Members in each of the twelve precincts. Town Meeting Members must file nomination papers with a minimum of ten (10) valid signatures of voters from their respective precinct ONLY.
The deadline for filing nomination papers is Monday, February 14, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Nomination papers are available during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Candidates unable to pick up nomination papers in person may give signed written authorization for someone to pick up their papers. This authorization must state the office being sought and the length of term.
Any Billerica Resident eighteen years of age or older may register to vote. The last day to register to vote for the Town Election is Friday, March 11th at 8:00 P.M. For more information, call (978) 671-0924.
The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Polls will be open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
