Wastewater Treatment
The Department of Public Works Wastewater Division manages the town's municipal wastewater program, which includes the Wastewater Treatment Plant and sanitary sewer collection system. Waste travels from your home's plumbing system through the sewer service to the municipal sewer main. Waste then travels through the municipal sewer lines to a wastewater treatment facility where the waste is properly managed.

Water Treatment
The Department of Public Works Water Division manages the town's municipal water program, which includes the Water Treatment Plant and water distribution system. Water is taken from the Concord River and is then pumped to the water treatment facility, where the water is properly treated and impurities are removed. Water is then stored in the town's two elevated tanks for distribution to the water service lines and homes.
