    The Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund provides resources for businesses to train current and newly hired employees. Its goal is to help improve employee skills and maintain the economic strength of the Commonwealth’s businesses. Middlesex Community College will be hosting a free event on the fund, and a representative from the Workforce Training Fund, administered by Commonwealth Corporation, will present an overview of the grant options and answer questions in the information sessions. Learn about this valuable training resource and how MCC can become a partner and provide grant-writing assistance and training to area companies. This event is offered in partnership with the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board, and Billerica Alliance.

    The entire community is invited to join in the celebration of bill signing making Billerica Massachusetts Yankee Doodle Town.

    The celebration will be on Tuesday, September 27th at 5pm at the Billerica Public Library.

    Community participation will include the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, students from Billerica Memorial High School and the Dutile Elementary, the Colonial Billerica Minutemen and more.
