Travel and Tour Opportunities

A variety of Day and Overnight Tour opportunities are scheduled each year to give participants a chance to explore different attractions and experience new places of interests.  We will update this list periodically as we add or cancel trips.  Make sure you register early as all trips have both maximum and minimum enrollments with deadlines for both.

JUNE 1-4; WASHINGTON DC WITH RED SOX/ORIOLES GAME; 3 nights at the Baltimore Radisson Inner Harbor; Reserved seat at game with All-You-Can-Eat Picnic Buffet (if available) 5 meals (3 breakfast, 2 dinners); Tour Arlington National Cemetery and US Capitol; visit Smithsonian Institute and WW2 Memorial; view the other monuments. JUNE 24; THIMBLE ISLAND CRUISE; Saturday. Round trip coach; 45 MINUTE CRUISE OF Thimble islands, an archipelago of small islands in Long Island Sound; lunch at USS Chowder Pot, Stop at Bishop’s Orchard & Farm Market. Cost: $118 pp

JULY 1-3; RED SOX AT TORONTO!; 2 nights at The Quality Inn (or similar) cruise up and close to the Falls on the Hornblower ; Visit Niagara-on-the-Lake. Reserved seats for Red Sox vs. Toronto at Rogers Center (retractable roof!) pp. $442 pp / Twin US Passports required.

JULY 8; NANTUCKET & MARTHA'S VINEYARD;  Saturday; 2 Islands in one day! Round trip high speed Ferry first to Nantucket then on to Martha’s Vineyard before returning to Hyannis. Time for lunch/dinner and seeing the sights and shopping. Lunch is on your own with time for shopping. Cost: $143 pp. 

JULY 15; KENNEBUNKPORT; Saturday. A “Step On Guide” will give you the history of Kennebunkport and the Bush Family estate. Hear about the seaside Franciscan Monastery, the legend of the Wedding Cake House and more.. Lunch at the Bull and Claw figuring clam chowder, salad, clams, mussels, choice of lobster/corn or prime rib/potato. Plus desert. Time to shop/brows waterfront and shops. Cost: $107 pp.

AUGUST 5; MARTHA’S VINEYARD; Saturday. Early morning departure, evening return; Round trip ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. 1 1/2 hr narrated sightseeing excursion to Edgartown and Oak Bluffs with free time for your own luncheon and shopping. Cost: $99 pp.

AUGUST 13; BOSTON “POPS” BY THE SEA; Sunday. Early morning departure, evening return; Trip to JF Kennedy Hyannis Museum; 45 minute Hyannis Duck Tour; enjoy a decadent brunch at Old Yarmouth Inn and Reserved Festival Seating for Boston Pops Esplanade, Orchestra. Cost: $156 pp.

AUGUST 20; CLAMBAKE ON CABBAGE ISLAND MAINE. Sunday. Early departure. Motor coach to Boothbay Harbor for harbor tour on Bennie Alice; traditional Maine Clambake on Cabbage Island includes NE fish chowder, steamed clams, 2 Maine lobsters, plus more! (Chicken available with prior request) Time to explore Booth Bay Harbor. Cost: $136 pp.

AUGUST 22-24 THUNDER OVER THE BOARDWALK– US AIRFORCE THUNDERBIRDS; 3 Days / 2 Nights. (Tues-Thurs) Accommodations at Resorts Hotel with 2 (Two) $30 meal coupons and $25/pp slot Scheduled to perform are US Air Force Thunderbirds, US Navy Blue Angels, Us Army Black Daggers and Golden Knights Crack Parachute Teams. Cost: $399pp / Twin.

SEPTEMBER 30; HOBO RAILROAD FALL FOLIAGE TURKEY TRAIN; Saturday; 2 1/2 HOUR narrated ride on the Hobo Railroad from Meredith, NH with viewing of Lake Winnipesaukee through the village of Weirs Beach and along the Paugus Bay towards Lakeport, NH. Trip also comes with complete turkey dinner and great views of fall foliage. Cost: $109 pp.

OCTOBER 14; VERMONT DAY TRIP; Saturday; Visit Queche Gorge and Village including the Cabot Cheese store, and others with interesting crafts and antiques. Visit home of King Arthur Flour. Lunch at Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms. $102 pp.

NOVEMBER 5-8: PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH GETAWAY 4 Days/3 Nights (Sunday-Wednesday) Accommodations at Futon Steamboat Inn. Includes 3 Family-style breakfasts at the hotel. Trip includes transportation and tours of Hershey Chocolate Town, Dearden House, Founders Hall. Trip also includes Chalk Talk at Elva’s Studio and American Music Theater presentation of “Home For the Holidays". Cost: $655 pp / Twin.
